Workshops for the Mentally Disabled

This workshop is designed to provide mentally disabled students with experiences that focus on the benefits of social and physical interaction and develop them culturally, socially, and artistically. The program brings together students from private and public schools for children with normal development, offering them an opportunity to engage in artistic work together.
The get-together workshop continues throughout the academic year and provides students of participating schools with preliminary information concerning the emotional, behavioral and cognitive characteristics of disabled students. During the guided tour of the exhibitions and the joint projects at the workshop, students find the opportunity to socialize, get to know and understand groups that are different from them, and to develop awareness by touching each other’s lives.
