Primary School and Middle School

Paper Weaving

Why do you think all these sky tall monuments and ceiling tall works are vertical? What would happen if these larger than human scale forms were horizontal instead? What could be the meaning of such a change? Participants study “Pink and Fur, Pattern and Carpet, Pattern and Necklace, Orange and Earrings, Navy Blue and Messy Hair, Green and Tears, Dark Purple and Pearl” by artist Nilbar Güreş. We discuss change of form, and weave colorful 3D paper to sculpt our own 3D totem.
