Geometric Patterns, Colors without Form
Circle is my name
My whirl is untame
I look like a ball in any game
Triangle is what I am
I look like a pie with strawberry jam
Three edges and three vertices
Think of me as cake slices.
I am a square
I look like a handkerchief
Four sides, four corners
They call me a square.
Have you ever seen a square cloud in the sky or a triangle-shaped one? What do you say we paint without any definite limits, just the way we imagine? Inspired by the works of artist XU Hongming, we will observe how colors flow using crepe paper of various geometric shapes and water. We will learn about different forms, form a composition with them, and then paint with the ink that flows with water to create a surprising result. We learn about geometric shapes and improve our visualization skills.
