Dancing Colors: Watercolor Experiments
“As a result of Xu Hongming’s practice, the compositional structures achieve a similar sense of firm but fragile forms floating in space. The scattering of pigment, over an already dampened paper, makes it impossible to control the result entirely.”
Would you like to steer pattern movements? We mix various materials with watercolor to experiment on how color pigments splatter on paper. In our experiments, we create abstract scenes and add another dimension to our work with materials from nature such as dried flowers, leaves.
Pera Young workshops are free of charge; reservation is required.
