Workshops for Teachers
Creative Writing Workshop for Teachers
As part of the Out of Ink: Interpretations from Chinese Contemporary Art exhibition, we gather teachers and trainers from various backgrounds at a free tour and a workshop on creative writing techniques. We seek inspiration beyond conventional elements like paper, brush and ink featured in the exhibition, looking at the pieces that embody cultural spirit of the ink.
With a focus on poems and short stories, essential literary forms of the Chinese culture, we discuss the role of creative writing practices, experience a number of techniques such as “Blackout Poetry”, “Six-Word Stories”, and “Mini Saga” and adapt them to our classes.
Note: Teachers will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop.
The event is free of charge; reservation is required.
