Pera Museum's a capella concert series titled “A Capella at Pera” continues. Choirmaster of the State Polyphonic Choir, Burak Onur Erdem is the art director of the “A Capella at Pera” program, the third concert of which will be performed by the Georgian House of Art Choir on Saturday, March 23, at 17.00.

Music enthusiasts who would like to discuss the production of a capella music, chat with the musicians and share information prior to the concert may attend the conversation session, open to a limited number of participants. During the event, participants will have the chance to discuss traditional polyphonic Georgian folk songs with the choirmaster İberya Özkan Melaşvili and the chorists.

Georgian House of Art Polyphonic Choir has been established within the Georgian House of Art, inaugurated in 2011, as part of their "polyphonic choir workshop." İberya Özkan Melaşvili is the choirmaster of Georgian House of Art Polyphonic Choir, whose repertoire centers on Georgian folk music, which traditionally has had a polyphonic character and has been designated by UNESCO as "a cornerstone of the oral and spiritual heritage of humanity." In addition, the choir performs other traditional polyphonic folk songs of the Caucasus region (such as Circassian, Abkhaz, Laz, Chechen, Azeri, Armenian songs), and carries over the polyphonic / harmonic structure of Georgian music to Anatolian songs as well. The Georgian House of Art Polyphonic Choir continues to expand every year with the participation of new chorists.
