Yacine, son of Maghreb immigrants, lives a fully free life, getting involved in tricky situations. He lives in a caravan, close to the circular highway of Paris, wandering between two temp jobs. A series of casual meetings lead him to Andalusia after a short stop in Toledo. Alain Gomis, who directed L’Afrance, succeeds with this bold film, which addresses human dignity and social humiliation. The creative narrative offers a true mosaic of poetical snapshots that revisit the contemporary French society and its buried colonial history.
