Arzu Ozkal is a young artist exploring the concept of the body and its relation to social political discourses through videos, public interventions and performances. She’s a graduate of Bilkent University and SUNY Buffalo. Currently, she serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Oberlin College, where she teaches, organizes events, and contributes to curriculum development in the Media Arts Department. She will be giving a presentation on her projects and video works dealing with topics such as tradition, daily life, social and political pressure groups, environment and environment politics.
EYTAN İPEKER 23 JANUARY SATURDAY 15:00
Eytan Ipeker graduated from Film and Television Department of New York University. In 2006, he participated in the “Berlinale Talent Campus”. His experimental and narrative shorts were screened in many international festivals around the world. He won the Video Art Special Prize in the International Independent Film and Video Festival (Greece) and Specail Jury Praise Award in The Land of The Living Shorts Festival (Italy). In 2007, his abstract videos were shown in Abstracta Film Festival(Italy). He participated in Pera Museum’s “The Shapeless” experimental film and video screening and collaborated with Renan Koen in the performance piece “Cycles: In-Between” for Babylon Lounge. His latest project is a documentary on the accalaimed pianist Idil Biret.
