"Colombia Diaspora!" consists of films depicting the troubles experienced by 4 million Colombians who have had to flee their country in face of the violence and cruelty in Colombia, with the hope of improving their living conditions. The fiction, documentary and short films in the program address cultural differences, migration and economic, social and familial issues.
CONDORS DON'T DIE EVERYDAY

Based on the eponymous novel by Gustavo Alvarez Gardeazábal, this film is famous Colombian director Francisco Norden's directing first work, and tells the story of "Condor" Leo Maria Lozano and the series of violent incidents that took place in Colombia in the 1950s. It numbers among the first films to criticize violence.
INVISIBLE CHILDREN Director: Lisandro Duque Naranjo Colombia, 2001, 90' Spanish with Turkish subtitles
Taking place in the Colombia of the 1950s, this nostalgic film tells the adventures of a group of kids. Rafael is seven years old and wants to become invisible. The story begins with a cloak, and surprising turns of events await him and his friends.
THE GREATEST WORRY Director: Luis Ospina Colombia, 2003, 90' Spanish with Turkish subtitles
This film is about Fernando Vallejo, the Colombian writer living in Mexico and renowned for his novels and the films he has directed. The documentary depicts Vallejo's loves, literary works and his view of life. Vallejo had a variety of interests including the cinema, music, poetry, science and politics, and the film brings out his multi-faceted personality.
THE CASTANETS OF NOTRE DAME

Jairo Tobon, who came from Colombia twenty years earlier to Paris and became the acolyte of Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, had a dream: to give a concert with the cathedral pipe organ and castanets. Jairo Tobon had come to Paris as an opera ballet dancer to work at the Mogador Theater. Before his retirement, Tobon remembers the events that led him step by step to the great temple.
