María José and Juan are on their way from a secret date when they run over a cyclist, killing him. They had been going steady for years, they day María José had married Miguel, Juan had become her lover. Obsessed by the shadow of the dead cyclist whom they abandon on the road side, they beome afraid that their relationship will be revealed and they will lose their social stance. The situation takes a turn with more complication and tragedy.
