Ismael and Julie are involved together with Alice in a ménage-â-trois combining love and friendship, jealousy and complicity until a tragic event irrupts into their life. Immensely affected by sadness and a feeling of guilt they support each other in mourning. Christophe Honore shoots Paris as it is now, adding the Jacques Demy singing and colorful film tradition. Fighting tooth and nail, this poignant melodrama is on the way of the musicals and redistributes the roles within the loving threesome of the Nouvelle Vague that goes from Truffaut to Eustache. The film unveils a new approach to romance: the homosexual happy love. İn 2007 it was shown at the Cannes Film Festival’s official selection and in 2008 won the Cesar for Best Music.
