Parallel to the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera From the Gelman Collection exhibition, curator Helga Prignitz-Poda will give a conference, entitled as "The Dove and the Elephant: Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo's Contradicting Art", on 18 March Friday at 19:00 in Pera Museum.

Helga Prignitz-Poda, art historian and specialist in Latin American studies, lives in Berlin and Istanbul, and is the curator of the "Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera From the Gelman Collection" exhibtion. She has published several books and curate exhibitions on Mexican Graphic Art in Germany. She is also editor and co-author of the catalogue raisonné of Frida Kahlo and curator of the Frida Kahlo-Retrospective in Berlin and Vienna 2010.
