Contours of Contemporary Kosova
28 December - Friday On Friday, the 28th of December, Pera Museum will be hosting a session of the festival Contours of Contemporary Kosova, which will bring together artists, activists, musicians, and theorists of the newest country of Europe. The festival aims to represent Kosovo’s cultural values through art, films, music, presentation and talks; creating a platform of interaction among the artistic communities of the two countries.
This session of the festival involves a discussion, a panel and a presentation. While the first session with two well-regarded sociologists Mr. Boynik and Mr Maliqi discuss the contradictions of modern Kosovar identity, the second session will have four panelists focusing upon the urban transformation, which is leading to a serious loss of identity for the historical city of Prizren, known as an important center within the Balkans with its still existing (but quickly disappearing) Ottoman architecture. The sessions will finish with Kosovo 2.0’s editor-in-chief, Besa Luci's presentation on the transformation of media in Kosovo. Kosovo 2.0 is a new cultural quarterly published from the country's capital, Prishtina.
