Alain Della Negra, Kaori Kinoshita
France, 2011, 10'

Alain Della Negra and Kaori Kinoshita have been collaborating for several years on the creation of works that involve documentation of various marginal communities worldwide. These communities are each distinguished by an alternative, and at times also eccentric, narrative, which oftentimes undermines the hegemony of scientific thought or the logic characteristic of Western society. The artists question the rituals of the shaman White Wolf: it brings individuals into extreme trances so they can access the animal kingdom deep within themselves.
